When Beyonce released her highly anticipated 6th album Lemonade as a visual album I knew it would go platinum quickly. The album is flawless. I listened to the album straight through and the visual piece was breathtaking. So the platinum status is well deserved.

Drake released his latest album VIEWS last Friday April 29th and social media went wild. The album recieved mixed reviews from many, and I was one of them. First listen, I said ummmm we waited this long for regular Drake? However I will say the project is very very good. It diverse and he always does what he is known for, rapping and singing. I am now totally hooked.

Drake’s new Views album is set for a spectacular debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. Industry forecasters suggest the hip-hop star’s latest effort could sell more than 800,000 copies in the U.S. in the week ending May 5. The set was released exclusively for sale through the iTunes Store and to stream via Apple Music on April 29 by Young Money/Cash Money/Republic Records.

With no mass marketing Mrs.Carter dropped another banging album that has earned her, her sixth Number 1 album. I loved the visual album. The imagery and symbolism was everything. The message was clear but at the same time it made the world think my boy Jay Z cheated on her wife. Sigh... I call them marketing genius. They love to get the people going. *sips Lemonade* The album also touched on many topics such as Daddy issues, Black Pride and more.
